Practice approved for student doctor training (October 03, 2008)
Brora & Helmsdale Medical Practice is pleased to announce it has been approved for training of student doctors. Medical students in their final year of training from Aberdeen Univerisity will begin training in the practice from September 2009.

Training of student doctors is vital to ensure that future generations of GPs and hospital doctors are equipped to serve having experience of rural practice. This also helps to attract potential "GPs of the future" to work in our villages.

Patients will only see students if they wish to; it will not affect your care in any way if you do not wish to see the student, and all student consultations will be overseen by Drs Main, Chase and Woodall. We hope however you will join with us in welcoming our future colleagues in the practice and your vital help in training our Highland doctors of the future would be greatly appreciated.
