Walking group strides its first steps! (April 22, 2009)
Brora and Helmsdale Patient Participation Group got off to a flying start with the 'Walking Buddies' Group today. Led by Christine Maclean, a PPG committee member, twelve people turned out for a lovely 30 minute walk around Brora which was enjoyed by all for both the social value and exercise! We had all age ranges from the young to those in their 90's, and all felt it a great success.
'Walking Buddies' is aimed at anyone of any level of fitness to come and take part - don't be frightened to attend, because the walk is designed around the level of EVERYONE attending. Its a great way to meet people for a chat too. So, shake the dust off your walking shoe and come join us!
We meet at 7.30pm every Wednesday evening in Station Square, Brora. Keep an eye out around the village for posters.
